We returned to Harrah's for a two-night stay and were looking forward to dining in the new Chef's Stage Buffet. I paid $8 for a deli sandwich (turkey with lettuce, tomato, onions and mayo), $2 for chips and $2 for a soft drink. The coffee from Dunking Donuts was freshly brewed and very good. The items we tried were about average in taste and quality for fast food items. Dunking Donuts offers a selection of donuts and coffee but no sandwiches. Johnny Rocket's, the Winning Streak deli and Uno Pizza in the food court offer typical fast food and deli items. After poor experiences during previous stays we do not eat at Paula Dean's so the food court was the only real choice. The Chef's Stage buffet is only open for dinner so our choices for breakfast and lunch was the food court or Paula Dean's. Our bill as a couple was $52 ($26 each), not including alcholic beverages which are priced separately. The quality and taste of the selections we tried were a definite improvement over the old Fresh Market buffet and Fresh Market Express. It also has a station the hostess called 'southern cooking' which featured several meats and a good selection of vegetables and soups (three soups when we were there). It has six food stations - Italian, Asian, Pizza, Mexican and a large dessert bar.
